About Suzie Lefever

Physical Therapists help people with the rehabilitation process following injury, illness, or surgery. Part of the responsibility of the physical therapist is to assist people in regaining their range of motion, rebuilding strength, help with pain reduction and, most importantly, helping people return to their previous levels of activity and function. In addition to caring professional therapy, emphasis is given to patient education and injury prevention. Discussions include the proper use of exercise, correct posture, home and work ergonomics and safety.

Your First Visit

We may ask you to change into a patient gown so that your injury can be more easily examined. Feel free to bring your own shorts, t-shirt, etc... if that makes you more comfortable.

Preferred attire also includes a good pair of workout shoes, such as a good pair of sneakers.

If you are being seen for foot orthotics, please bring several pairs of your favorite and frequently worn shoes with you.

In addition to your prescription (if applicable) Please bring your insurance cards and a piece of identification with you to your evaluation visit. Typically the first 15-20 minutes of your visit will include administrative paperwork and a standardized self-assessment quiz that will help your therapist to better assess your condition and monitor your progress throughout your care.

The first appointment, including registration, initial assessment, developing a 'plan of care' and beginning your treatment, typically takes 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Suzie will develop an individualized treatment plan with your personal goals in mind. This may include the use of therapeutic exercises, modalities, manual therapy, symptom management strategies, body mechanics, positioning and posture awareness, and an individual exercise program designed to assist you with meeting you goals and expediting your recovery.
